Lead the effort by example!
Hosted by the NSCSC, employees and contractors in Nova Scotia's ICI industry gathered together on September 1, 2011 to enjoy good food, good friends, and inspiring words from Mark Breslin, North America's #1 speaker on construction leadership, strategy and labour-management relations. Mr. Breslin stressed that every contractor and worker has a part to play in ensuring the success of the unionized construction industry. His presentation highlighted the issues currently faced by the industry and what can be done to mitigate their effects in the context of today's dynamic business climate. He stressed to those in attendance that both contractors and employees have to actively work at educating the public about the quality of union work through example....you can't just say you're the best, you have to show you're the best through commitment, pride, effort, dedication, focus, and discipline.
